About FlexChords

FlexChords finds the chords, key and tempo of any song and plays it with the chords in sync, so you can play along. It's built by an independent developer for guitarists and other musicians who learn songs by ear.

How it works

Pick a song from YouTube or upload an audio file. Our own chord recognition model listens to it and writes a chord chart, spelled for the song's key and cleaned up so it reads like one a musician would write.

The charts are estimates, and no chord detector is right every time. You can edit any chart, and the Accuracy page shows how we score on songs we've never heard.

Free to use

Every song in the catalog is free to open, play and transpose, with or without an account. Signed-in users can add new songs each month for free. Once a YouTube song is added, its chart joins the catalog for everyone.
